The world’s oldest shoe, which was made from a single piece of cowhide, was found perfectly preserved, including laces.
And the ‘size 4’ shoe, found in a cave in Armenia, may have been worn by a man. ‘It is not known whether the shoe belonged to a man or woman as, while small, the shoe could well have fitted a man from that era,’ said archaeologist Dr Ron Pinhasi, from University College Cork, Ireland.
The shoe dates back 1,000 years before the Great Pyramid of Giza was built and 400 years earlier than Stonehenge.
